The UK Space Agency has announced the return of its Fusion Connect with Capital Programme, designed to help space startups secure investment and drive innovation. In partnership with Entrepreneurial Spark and Exotopic, the programme provides participants with access to expert coaching, workshops, and a boot camp aimed at preparing them to secure up to £2 million in funding. The initiative concludes with an exclusive Demo Day where startups pitch their businesses to key investors. Applications opened on 7th October 2024, with early submissions encouraged.
Portia Bircher, the UK Space Agency’s Business Support and Growth Manager, expressed enthusiasm about the programme’s impact, highlighting the success of the first edition, which helped 13 startups. She remarked, “We’re broadening our reach to help more innovative companies thrive.”
Entrepreneurial Spark’s CEO, Mike Stephens, added: “This programme offers a fantastic opportunity to boost the UK’s growing space sector by giving startups the resources to raise capital and scale their solutions.”
This year’s initiative is open to startups using or building space technology and seeking investment to accelerate their growth. The UK Space Agency is committed to advancing the UK’s space industry, fostering innovation, and attracting investment. Investors can also register to receive updates on the Demo Day where these innovative businesses will present their groundbreaking ideas.
