Stormzy fans in Croydon are in for an exclusive treat as the rapper drops the UK’s first-ever McDonald’s “Famous Order”. The Stormzy Meal, which will be available for the first time in Croydon on February 10th, is the latest collaboration between the chart-topping artist and the fast-food giant.
From 11AM on February 10th, fans in Croydon will have access to Stormzy’s go-to McDonald’s meal 48 hours before it hits the rest of the country. The meal, which includes nine crispy McNuggets, McDonald’s iconic fries, either an Oreo McFlurry or Apple Pie, and a refreshing Sprite Zero, is part of McDonald’s new “Famous Order” campaign, which is set to be rolled out nationwide on February 12th.
To mark the launch, the McDonald’s restaurant at 86/90 North End, Croydon, will be rebranded temporarily as ‘Big Mike’s’, a nod to Stormzy’s nickname. The rebranding is a one-of-a-kind tribute to the local star and his roots in Croydon, where the meal will first be available. Fans will also have the chance to snap photos with the new ‘Big Mike’s’ signage at the restaurant for a limited time.
Stormzy, who has long been an advocate for his hometown, has built a loyal following through his music and activism. This collaboration with McDonald’s marks a significant moment in the singer’s career as he partners with one of the world’s most recognisable fast-food brands.
The Stormzy Meal will be available at nine McDonald’s locations across Croydon. These are the McDonald’s restaurants at 86/90 North End, 67/69 Church Street, 935-943 London Road, Valley Leisure Park, 415 Purley Way, 518/522 Wickham Road, Unit 23 Norfolk House, Asda Wallington, and Unit 7A at The Colonnades Leisure Park. For the first 48 hours, these locations will be the exclusive sites to serve the meal, offering local fans a chance to try the order before anyone else.
Ian Stephenson, owner of 11 McDonald’s restaurants in South London, expressed his pride in being part of this historic launch. “We’re so proud of our homegrown hero Stormzy,” he said. “To celebrate his success and Croydon’s connection to Stormzy is a real honour. Rebranding our North End restaurant as ‘Big Mike’s’ is an iconic first, and we can’t wait to welcome all our loyal fans to order like the man himself.”
Fans eager to try Stormzy’s meal can head to any of the Croydon locations for early access, while those across the UK and Ireland can enjoy the meal starting February 12th.
McDonald’s has revealed that the Stormzy Meal will be available across all order channels, including in-store, drive-thru, and delivery.
