Tech-led fan engagement company Fourth Wall has relocated to a new office in Liverpool’s city centre, marking a significant investment in its expansion. The company has moved into the Vanilla Factory, a landmark development on Fleet Street that blends original Victorian features with modern architecture. Fourth Wall has secured 2,295 square feet of space in the building, which will accommodate up to 50 people in an open-plan layout designed to foster collaboration.
The move is part of Fourth Wall’s broader strategy to support its hybrid working model, which allows employees to split their time between its new city office, the company’s larger headquarters in Bromborough, Wirral, and home. The Bromborough site also houses Fourth Wall’s fulfilment and distribution operations, complementing the new creative workspace in Liverpool.
Steve Hartley, Creative Director at Fourth Wall, spoke about the decision to invest in a city-centre office: “The new office is a superb collaborative space that supports our hybrid working setup for staff. It’s easily accessible for our teams, clients, and partners, and provides a creative environment that reflects the Fourth Wall ethos. Our aim was to create a space where creativity thrives, with a relaxed yet tech-driven atmosphere.”
The office is equipped with state-of-the-art technology to enhance the working environment, including multiple big-screen TVs visible from any part of the office and a five-metre-wide floor-to-ceiling LED screen linked to a wireless sound system. According to Hartley, these features create an immersive experience for both staff and clients. Additionally, the office includes a mini bar and a PlayStation 5, embodying Fourth Wall’s focus on making work enjoyable as well as productive.
Vanilla Factory, renowned for its blend of communal and informal spaces, has become a hub for creative and tech businesses. Its facilities include boardrooms, breakout areas, a rooftop terrace, a bike store, and showers, making it a highly desirable location for companies looking to combine work and lifestyle benefits.
Hartley explained why the Vanilla Factory was the ideal choice for Fourth Wall’s new office: “It’s a contemporary space, brilliantly located close to restaurants, cafes, and bars. The design of the building, with its mix of formal and informal areas, matches our needs perfectly. It’s a great reflection of Liverpool’s ongoing regeneration and offers the kind of environment that helps us recruit and retain top talent.”
Fourth Wall specialises in fan engagement technology and works with more than 50 sports clubs and federations across the UK and internationally. The company, along with its sister businesses alloc8 and Pack Track, offers a range of services aimed at maximising fan engagement while reducing administrative overheads for sports organisations.
As the company prepares for a busy fourth quarter, Hartley expressed optimism about the role the new office will play in Fourth Wall’s future growth. “With a strong pipeline of work ahead, our new Liverpool office will support our efforts to help clients grow and monetise their customer base through deeper brand experiences underpinned by technology.”
This expansion highlights Fourth Wall’s commitment to blending technology with creative solutions, ensuring it remains at the forefront of fan engagement in the sports industry.
