Samsung Display has revealed its latest OLED advancements at Mobile World Congress 2025 (MWC25), showcasing new display technologies, including ultra-thin bezels, foldable screens, and high-performance gaming monitors.

At the heart of the exhibition is the Seamless Colour Studio, which highlights Samsung’s OLED technology across various devices, from smartphones and tablets to laptops and TVs. Visitors can experience seamless transitions between screens, demonstrating OLED’s consistent colour reproduction. A side-by-side comparison with LCD displays illustrates the superior black levels and vibrancy of OLED technology.

A centrepiece of the showcase is the OLED Tile, a nearly bezel-less display inspired by Spain’s Sagrada Familia Cathedral. Comprising ten 6.8-inch panels and two 31.5-inch monitors, the setup creates an illusion of a continuous screen. Samsung has achieved a 40% reduction in bezel thickness, enabling larger displays without increasing device size.

In a tribute to Spain, Samsung is also presenting Voyage to Mañana, a visual journey through the country’s landmarks. QD-OLED screens depict the Pyrenees Mountains with striking clarity, while the Flexible Cabinbag, featuring an 18.1-inch foldable OLED display, transforms from a tablet into a compact briefcase. Another innovation, the Polygon Foldable, introduces a 3.38-inch diamond-shaped OLED exterior display for foldable phones.

Samsung is also debuting its latest low-power display technology, known as L.E.A.D. (Low power, Eco-friendly, Augmented brightness, Designed to be thin and slim). The technology, based on On-Cell Film (OCF), eliminates the need for a polariser, reducing reflections and increasing brightness by 1.5 times without extra power consumption. Demonstrations include a smartphone OLED display reaching peak brightness levels of 5,000 nits, maintaining clarity even in bright outdoor conditions.

In the gaming sector, Samsung is introducing its Winning Edge lineup. This includes the world’s first 27-inch 500 Hz QD-OLED monitor, a 240 Hz OLED laptop, and a 15.6-inch OLED laptop screen designed for smooth gameplay and low latency. Visitors can test OLED gaming on devices such as the Steam Deck and Razer Blade 16, while a new concept console, the Flex Gaming, features a 7.2-inch foldable OLED display. Krafton’s InZOI simulation game is also on display, using glasses-free 3D technology.

Adding to the spectacle, renowned magician Lee Jun-Hyung is performing an OLED Magic Show, illustrating OLED’s true black levels, slim design, and vibrant colour expression. Meanwhile, Samsung’s robotic OLEDog will demonstrate the durability of OLED panels with a tap-dancing routine.

With a strong focus on design, power efficiency, and immersive visuals, Samsung Display’s OLED innovations at MWC 2025 signal a major leap forward in display technology.
