A new nappy from Pampers is offering UK parents a solution to the common issue of nappy rash, which a recent study suggests affects the mood of both babies and their parents. Research conducted by Pampers reveals that 73% of UK parents believe nappy rash impacts their baby’s mood, while 84% of parents admit to feelings of guilt or helplessness when their child suffers from skin irritation.
This comes as Pampers introduces its latest innovation, the Pampers Premium Protection nappies, designed to offer double protection for both the skin and against leaks. Babies’ skin, which is 30% thinner and more delicate than adults’, is particularly vulnerable to irritation from moisture and the humid environment inside nappies. Pampers’ new product seeks to address this by keeping babies’ skin dry and protected.
The Pampers Premium Protection nappies, available in sizes 0 to 6, feature an innovative DermaComfort Layer, which quickly absorbs wetness and mess away from the skin, locking it inside the nappy. This prevents irritants from causing discomfort, keeping the delicate skin dry. The nappies, approved by the British Skin Foundation, also include ultra-soft materials to ensure comfort, allowing the skin to breathe, while the Stop & Protect pocket is designed to stop leaks at the back.
As part of the launch, Pampers has enlisted first-time dad and singer Olly Murs to be the face of their campaign. Murs, who recently welcomed daughter Madison with his fiancée Amelia Tank, is urging parents across Britain to test out the new nappies, proving that a protected baby is a happy one.
Commenting on his own experience with the new nappies, Murs said: “I love being a dad and I’m learning all the time. When Madison is happy, Amelia and I are happy, so there’s nothing better than keeping our daughter comfy and her skin protected with these new Pampers Premium Protection nappies. They are definitely doing the trick!”
To help launch the campaign, Murs recently visited Scratchy Bottom, a small village in Dorset, to encourage parents to put Pampers Premium Protection nappies to the test. The singer is calling on the “Babies of Britain” to help make Scratchy Bottom the only scratchy bottom in the UK by using Pampers’ new nappies.
Parents who wish to try Pampers Premium Protection for their own little ones can claim a £6 voucher through the Pampers Club App to put the new nappies to the test. The Pampers Premium Protection range is available now, with more details available on the Pampers website.
