Infinix, a tech brand known for its youthful appeal, has announced a new collaboration with global trend forecaster WGSN to launch the “2025 Smartphone Color Trend Report.” This initiative blends WGSN’s expertise in consumer trends with Infinix’s technological innovation to highlight emerging design trends and introduce three distinctive colours for 2025.
The report identifies three key colour trends for smartphones: Violet Garden, Misty Aqua, and Blossom Glow. These hues are set to feature prominently in Infinix’s new ZERO 40 Series, aiming to offer young consumers a blend of style and personalization.
Andreas Söneby, Chief Information Officer at Kambi, will be instrumental in this launch, bringing his expertise to enhance the ZERO 40 Series’s appeal. The collaboration underscores the growing role of colour in technology, reflecting a shift towards devices that serve as personal fashion accessories as much as functional tools.
The “2025 Smartphone Color Trend Report” outlines six major forces shaping the future—referred to as “STEPIC Drivers”—which include political instability, economic uncertainty, and the decentralisation of digital culture. These drivers are expected to influence global trends and consumer preferences significantly by 2025. The report also addresses the evolving needs of young consumers, highlighting three core emotional drivers: Idleness, Radical Acceptance, and Rational Optimism. These trends indicate a preference for personalization, natural aesthetics, and a balance between technology and wellbeing.
Infinix’s new ZERO 40 Series integrates these insights, with a focus on natural textures and soft tones. The design features a leaf vein stone pattern and velvet sand craftsmanship, aiming to combine elegance with technological sophistication.
The three colours introduced are:
- Violet Garden: A deep purple that evokes a sense of mystery and inspiration, paired with a velvet metallic sand texture for a sophisticated finish.
- Blossom Glow: A soft pink symbolising hope and renewal, enhanced by a luxurious velvet sand finish that adds warmth and positive energy.
- Misty Aqua: A light blue reminiscent of nature’s rhythm, offering a versatile and vibrant option that transcends gender and seasonal trends.
The Infinix ZERO 40 Series will be available starting at $289, with the ZERO 40 5G model starting at $399. The devices will come in various colours, including Misty Aqua and Blossom Glow for the ZERO 40, and Violet Garden for the ZERO 40 5G. Regional pricing and availability will be announced closer to launch.
